WhY LAFA?
Our commitment to the teaching game at the HIGHEST QUALITY is what sets us apart from any competition.
We love this game - we eat, sleep and breathe American Football.
For some of us, it’s in been part of our lives for decades & for others its a newly discovered passion but we all have that same dedication.
We know what good looks like because we’ve won championships at all different levels and formats and we want to share this with our London youth.
The constant is THE PROCESS OF GETTING BETTER! We are going to provide London’s youth with the process, all you have to do is show up and buy-in!
Our winning culture
INTENTIONAL
We have built bespoke, high quality curricullum that leverages USA Football Development Model to fit that young Londoners converting to American Football. With near on a decade of experience working with athletes in the UK, we know how to quickly and efficiently transfer existing skills to this game, accelerating youth development and maximising the fun!
CONSISTENT
We know how to win - we’ve won titles at all levels and formations across the US & UK - and the critical component to all success has been participant and coaching consistency. Consistency isn’t just about what you do on the pitch - it includes how we teach our young people to look after their body and mind off the field, building healthy habits and the behaviours of a champion! At LAFA, we use the game of American Football and our development model to reinforce the importance of consistency to individual improvement!
Connection
We created LAFA to provide a non-club related pathway for youth to engage with the sport year round. We exist to compliment the existing BAFA and BUCS competitions by providing athletes the environment to develop both in and out-of-season. We believe this approach will allow for improved youth skill development and constructively competitive environment for like-minded youth to connect and grow the game.

Ian Carpenter (Coach Carp)
I grew up outside Philadelphia (Go Eagles!) in the States and played this great game from the age of 7 through to NCAA D2. I was extremely fortunate to be part of winning programmes in both High School and University and since moving to the UK, joining British powerhouse London Warriors.
I hope to share the lessons I learned along my journey with young players because I believe this game teaches us lessons that apply to all parts of our life - accountability, honesty, communication - while having a lot of fun and becoming the best athletes we can be!
